I’ve been meaning to post this kitchen for a while. As you know I adore black and white checkered tiled kitchens, and I just love the crisp bright look of this Montreal home designed by Rollande Vachon.
The banquette and low-hanging chandelier are refreshingly dramatic for such a high traffic area- very clever!

you are right - that kitchen is sharp! i think you have to do black & white checkered floors right (like this picture) or else it can look outdated and tacky.
